For pilots exploring the American Southwest, Goulding’s Resort offers a unique way to arrive in Monument Valley. The private Monument Valley airstrip at Goulding’s Resort allows small aircraft to land just minutes from the resort, giving visitors immediate access to the valley’s dramatic landscapes. After landing, guests are only a short distance from the resort’s lodging, dining, tours, and other amenities.

Surrounded by towering mesas and iconic desert scenery, flying into Goulding’s provides one of the most memorable Southwest landings.

Tie-downs are recommended for aircraft upon arrival. Please tie down all unattended aircraft.

Required: Landing Permission, Aircraft Insurance, and FOP Form

The Gouldings’ Resort airstrip is located on private property, and permission is required before landing. Pilots should contact the resort before arrival to coordinate landing access and review any current operational guidelines. Goulding’s Resort & Tours is a separate entity from the Monument Valley Tribal Park, and therefore does not have the authority to grant access to fly over the park. Please contact the park directly to obtain a permit.

A copy of aircraft insurance is required before landing. For rented aircraft, please have the rental company send a copy of their insurance to Goulding’s Resort & Tours.

A completed Goulding’s Flight Operating Procedures Form with tail number and estimated time of arrival is required before landing.

Paraglider Restrictions

Monument Valley Tribal Park is a no-fly zone for paragliders. However, Goulding’s Resort & Tours allows paragliders to land and take off from our runway before 8:30 AM and after 5:00 PM. Anyone seeking a permit to fly over Monument Valley must obtain approval from the Navajo Tribal Park.
